Volunteer Literacy Tutor Training

Please join us for a day devoted to learning about tutoring adults at your library who want to improve their literacy skills. Some of the topics covered in the training include a general look at literacy, our philosophy, what tutoring may entail, and logistics related to being matched and getting started with an adult learner.  We’ll also give an overview of the wealth of curriculum resources available through Literacy Services as well as some learner-centered techniques to use when working with adult learners.
